No real camping area on the side of the river with the toilets (basically just three or so parking spots) and the water was a bit high to drive across, plus then you lose the use of the loo! It was a pretty place though, would have liked to camp there.

Gorgeous with an hour of halls creek. On the way there is a swimming hole and old Halls Creek. 2.5 hour return trip with a bit of a wander around. Complete with composting toilet.

Sawpit Gorge
Amazing place but in dry season I wouldn't swim as water is very low. Other then that it is a nice area and off the beaten track this 4x4 is required. I would risk it in 2 wheel drive if it is high enough but big ruts. Nice place to chill for the day tho

Whilst 2wd access is possible, track is rough. Highly recommend 4wd only. From the main track, it's a 5minute drive and well worth exploring. Makes for a beautiful lunch stop. Appears to have tracks around the gorge, would be great area to walk and explore.

Amazing, peceful, tranquil place. The swiming hole in sawpit gorge is one of the coldest one in the region. Road is not too bad, still a number of big water crossing in Msy 27th.

The best free camp we did ,4wd only to the bottom camp sites of the gorge but if you have a 2wd or unsure there's spots at the top near toilets.
